How to Buy Tranchess – 4 Easy Steps

1. Choose a cryptocurrency exchange

Finding a crypto exchange isn’t that hard. There are plenty of big players out there that have been around for quite some time.

This is where our comparison tables can help. The important factors to look for are fees, security, and if they have Tranchess of course.

2. Sign up with the crypto exchange

Signing up with any of the major exchanges is generally very easy. The initial sign up should be very fast, and even the verification processes are very well set up these days.

3. Fund your account

Next, you would need to fund your account with either fiat money (USD, AUD, GBP, CAD, etc) or another cryptocurrency like BTC or ETH. This process should again be straightforward and easily done using one of the bigger cryptocurrency exchanges.

4. Buy Tranchess

Now that you have what you need to buy Tranchess, head over to the market or buy section of the cryptocurrency exchange and buy some CHESS.

If the crypto exchange doesn’t have any Tranchess on offer, for most cryptocurrencies you can buy Ethereum instead, transfer it to a decentralized exchange like Uniswap (check if Uniswap has Tranchess first), and trade your Ethereum for Tranchess.

Considering buying Tranchess? CHESS Rundown

Ranchess is an asset tracker that enhances yield and offers a variety of risk-return options. Tranchess offers a unique risk/return matrix that is independent of one main fund that tracks an underlying asset. Tranchess' name was inspired by the game chess and the French word Tranche, which are often used to refer to tranche funds that cater to different types of investors with different risk appetites. Tranchess launched on the 24th of June 2021.

The token queen, or main fund, tracks a specific asset. It can be divided equally into two sub-funds. BTC has been chosen as the first cryptocurrency asset we will track. It also shares many popular DeFi features like single-asset yield farm, borrowing & lending and trading.

Tranchess offers:

  • Increased yield without incurring permanent losses
  • Low cost, no forced liquidation of leveraged positions
  • Queen holders have no lock-in period
  • TWAP (Time Weighted average price) is a method to prevent Oracle Attacks

Smart contracts are used to make the project transparent and automate across processes. Users can track BTC and have an enhanced earning rate. They can also lend out tokens to earn additional interest. As part of their stake returns, users also receive a portion of the platform earnings. The Tranchess ecosystem allows you to gain both NAV as well as yield perspectives.

Smart contracts are not dependent on price feeds from smart contracts. They are therefore highly resistant to price manipulation, such as flash loans attacks. Tranchess price price oracle uses TWAP for 30-minutes instead of discrete price. This reduces the risk of an oracle manipulation attack. Tranchess Oracle extends the Open Oracle Standard by Compound. It accepts signed price data (Coinbase, OKEX), and calculates a time-weighted average (TWAP), in each 30-minute epoch.

Additional security measures include multiple rounds of code audit by reputable groups (Peckshield & Certik), Bug Bounty, Immunefi and Multi-signature settings.
