How to Buy GoChain – 4 Easy Steps

1. Choose a crypto exchange

Finding a trading platform isn’t that hard. There are plenty of big players out there that have been around for quite some time.

This is where our comparison tables can help. The important factors to look for are fees, security, and if they have GoChain of course.

2. Sign up with the cryptocurrency exchange

Signing up with any of the major exchanges is generally very easy. The initial sign up should be very fast, and even the verification processes are very well set up these days.

3. Fund your account

Next, you would need to fund your account with either fiat money (USD, AUD, GBP, CAD, etc) or another cryptocurrency like BTC or ETH. This process should again be straightforward and easily done using one of the bigger trading platforms.

4. Buy GoChain

Now that you have what you need to buy GoChain, head over to the market or buy section of the crypto trading platform and buy some GO.

If the crypto exchange doesn’t have any GoChain on offer, for most cryptocurrencies you can buy Ethereum instead, transfer it to a decentralized exchange like Uniswap (check if Uniswap has GoChain first), and trade your Ethereum for GoChain.

Considering buying GoChain? GO Rundown

The scaling issue for Blockchains has been a major fight in recent times, and the winner could have an advantage over all other cryptocurrency.

GoChain is the latest player in the fray. It promises 100 times faster than the Ethereum network and offers smart contracts a better alternative by using Proof-of–Reputation instead of Proof-of–Work or Proof of Authority as a consensus mechanism.

It is 100 times faster than Ethereum and will consume 1,000 times less electricity when compared to Bitcoin.

GoChain's move towards Proof of Reputation consensus models takes into account the reputation of all network participants to ensure a network that remains secure and free of any external or internal problems. All participants in the GoChain blockchain must have a reputation. Any attempt to cheat the system financially or branding will result in severe penalties.

GoChain has also made the Proof of Authority model more useful by making it Proof of Reputation. Although Proof of Authority is still possible, it can only be used for nodes with a high reputation and that add significant value to the network. The blockchain is compatible with Ethereum, so existing Ethereum-based chains can switch to GoChain.

GoChain seeks to address the centralization, scaling and energy consumption issues of blockchains that use Proof of Work for consensus. Although Proof of Work is an excellent algorithm for blockchains, it has also served its purpose in launching the revolution. It is time to move to something more efficient, scalable, less centralized, and less energy-intensive. It also moves beyond Ethereum smart contract to create something stable and more useful.

Ethereum is one of the most popular blockchain protocols because it supports smart contracts. Smart contracts are essential in many industries. GoChain is working to improve existing smart contracts so they can be used more efficiently and avoid errors. Although Ethereum is currently the most popular smart contract network, it's not perfect. Some of the problems facing Ethereum include:

  • Ethereum consumes 3x more energy than Google
  • It is not as effective as it was promised.
  • Ethereum can only process 13 transactions per second
  • Smart contracts cannot be hacked or stolen.

GoChain's team plans to solve these problems by creating a blockchain that is 10x more decentralized, 100x as many transactions per second, and 1000x less energy-consuming. The network processes 1,300 transactions per second so that it has already achieved one of its three goals.
